Ministers offer £20m for cities to develop electric car infrastructure

Up to £20m is to be made available for the establishment of electric car charging points and related infrastructure across the UK, under Government plans to  boost the take-up of electric vehicles.

The Government says it will provide “seed money” to consortia of cities and companies that can start the process of building infrastructure and increasing consumer confidence in the concept of such vehicles. No date has yet been set for when applications for this funding can be...
