The Government’s new Structures Fund will enable councils in England to carry out long over-due repairs on ageing bridges, flyovers and tunnels, the DfT has announced, as bids are now invited.
The funding will make sure transport infrastructure is more resilient to extreme weather, while making everyday journeys safer, smoother and more dependable, says the DfT.
