Westminster installs 1,000th chargepoint

Westminster City Council has been ramping up its provision of on-street electric vehicle (EV) charging points. The council installed the 1,000th charging point in April and says it is on track to deliver another 500 chargers by April 2022.   The council is working with Siemens GB&I, which is overseeing the project. The charging points range from 3kW to 50kW and have been installed at key residential and commercial locations. The charging points are available to all users, who are able to park their vehicles in dedicated EV bays. They can charge for up to four hours between 8.30am and 6.30pm every day.
