Three new ministers at the DfT

Last week’s ministerial reshuffle saw Grant Shapps retain his position as transport secretary but changes have been made elsewhere in the DfT’s ministerial team. Andrew Stephenson, the MP for Pendle in Lancashire, has been appointed a minister of state, alongside incumbent Chris Heaton-Morris. Stephenson succeeds George Freeman. Meanwhile, Rachel Maclean (the MP for Redditch) and Kelly Tolhurst (the MP for Rochester and Strood) have been appointed parliamentary under secretaries of state, alongside Baroness Vere.
