Dear Ken, if you want to really 'green' London's transport system, here's what you need to do...

The promotion of walking and cycling are the main reasons why I have made a feasibility study into 20mph being the default limit for London a centre-piece of my budget discussions with the London Mayor. Of course I recognise that any report on this by Transport for London will end up recommending exemptions for many main roads but I feel that reducing the speed limit across the vast majority of London's roads would still send out the message that streets are for people, not just fast-moving...
