It's time the National Trust stopped offering free car parking

Yet again comes mail through my letter box from the National Trust encouraging me to join them. And yet again it highlights the member benefit of "FREE CAR PARKING (their emphasis) at National Trust protected countryside, woodland and coastal car parks". What an incredible sentence. This is such a pity as the Trust is actually working really hard to reduce car travel to its sites. But its membership department seems totally divorced from this policy.
