The first pilot schemes for the default 20mph speed limit in Wales were imminent as LTT went to press. The pilots will be signed traditionally, rather than using the innovations planned for roll-out of the 20mph default limit.

The first two pilots start in mid-June in villages St Dogmaels in Pembrokeshire and St Brides Major in Vale of Glamorgan. Pembrokeshire County Council told LTT the St Dogmaels pilot would start the week beginning 14 June and cover all roads in the village except a few...
