The use of 20mph speed limits has been endorsed by an international conference of ministers backed by the World Health Organization.
Support for 30km/h (equivalent to 20mph limits) was one of 18 resolutions passed at the third global ministerial conference on road safety in Stockholm, hosted by the Swedish Government in conjunction with the WHO.
