East Croydon rail relief plan advances

The Government has authorised the funding for Network Rail to develop designs for the Croydon area remodelling scheme, which will increase rail capacity in the East Croydon area. The project includes grade separating junctions north of the station where lines from London Victoria and London Bridge converge, and increasing the number of platforms at East Croydon from six to eight.
