The future of Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) looks uncertain following the local elections that have seen the SNP become the largest party on Glasgow City Council.

The Nationalist’s manifesto for the local election pledged to create a new body, Transport for Glasgow, that would “implement a new integrated transport strategy for the city”.
