Scottish Government seeks to reduce reliance on ferries

Amid controversy and anger over new and existing ferries, the Scottish Government is exploring ways to reduce island communities’ reliance on ferries in the future. It also aspires to introduce zero carbon vessels to some routes, but there is some scepticism over timescales.
