Nexus reports mixed financial data

Nexus, the Tyne and Wear PTE, expects to slash a forecast deficit this year but has warned that public transport service reductions in the conurbation look unavoidable from 2018/19 onwards. 

John Fenwick, Nexus’s director of finance and resources, told councillors that the PTE expects to reduce a forecast £3.659m deficit for 2016/17 to just £76,000.
