Crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers has offered a reward of up to £1,000 for information that leads to the conviction of people who have been damaging parking machines belonging to Croydon Council.
In the past year, incidents of criminal damage have cost Croydon an estimated £260,000 in stolen cash and lost revenue. The council has spent £20,000 on repairs and £55,000 on extra security for the pay stations.
