A trial of driverless taxis is due to start in London next spring after the Government announced it would accelerate the introduction of automated passenger services (APS) regulations.
This appears to be at odds with an announcement last month that driverless cars would not appear on UK roads until at least 2027 (LTT916). The Government now says it is introducing an accelerated framework for small autonomous “taxi and bus-like” commercial services to get them underway...
