Norwich sets default 20mph policy

Councillors in Norwich have agreed plans to make 20mph the default speed limit for  C and unclassified residential roads.  

Norwich’s highways agency committee of Norfolk County Council and Norwich City Council has approved a policy based on the DfT’s 2013 guidance on setting local speed limits. This removed the requirement for physical traffic calming measures within a 20mph zone, permitting the use of signs and roundels painted on the road instead.
