?15m for Scots 'green' travel towns initiative

Scottish transport minister Stewart Stevenson this week invited Scottish local authorities to bid for a share of a £15m three-year 'sustainable travel demonstration communities' project.

Authorities will test out a range of measures such as better walking and cycle routes, better public transport, car sharing schemes, and personal travel planning in an attempt to reduce single occupancy car use.
