Welsh Government goes slow on approving side road zebra crossings

The Welsh Government appears to be setting a slower pace than local government would like for rolling out simple zebra crossings at road junctions.

Cardiff Council began a trial of the crossings, which do not feature Belisha beacons, at three junctions in 2022. The results were encapsulated in a Transport Research Laboratory report for the Welsh Government in August 2023.
