Transport effects of clock change probed

The Government has commissioned a transport consultant to examine whether the evidence is available to prepare a cost-benefit analysis of moving to double summer time.

The Department for Business Innovation and Skills has commissioned David Simmonds Consultancy to review the availability and quality of data that may be used to assess the costs and benefits of the UK, or parts of the UK, moving to double summer time.
