The new Scottish and Welsh Governments both have selected newly elected politicians as their transport ministers.
John Swinney, First Minister of Scotland, has chosen Stephen Flynn as the Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Transport and Tourism. Flynn won the Aberdeen Deeside & North Kincardine seat in this month’s election while he was also the MP for Aberdeen South. He has resigned his Westminster seat and a by-election will take place.
