Chair of the Commons Transport Committee Ruth Cadbury has generally welcomed the transport proposals announced in the King’s Speech, stressing the taxi and private hire and aviation customer protection regulatory measures (LTT938).
The speech gave an outline of 37 Bills that ministers want to pass in the next parliamentary session, including a draft Taxi and Private Hire Vehicle Bill and a Civil Aviation Bill.
