Motorists aren’t being served by traffic and safety policies

There are several items in your latest issue that really do require some reaction.

The predictions of massive traffic growth are not new ones and are simply more Ministry of Ideological Guesswork at it again (“DfT rejects ‘peak car’ hypothesis and predicts return to traffic growth”). The car ownership boom, which commenced in the sixties, is now over. Multi-vehicle families are already the norm and we already have more vehicles than drivers to drive them. Just like Boris...
