Chancellor offers fuel and fares relief

Motorists, rail passengers and public transport users in London will all benefit from the Chancellor’s decisions this week to defer or reduce price rises. January’s fuel duty rise of 3p a litre will be deferred to 1 August and the inflation increase of 1.9ppl planned for August has been cancelled.
