Bespoke solutions for bicycling revolution

As England’s first Cycling City, Bristol has been working to build on the city’s existing cycling culture and latent demand with upgraded infrastructure.

Being England’s first ‘Cycling City’ has involved overhauling the provision for cyclists in Bristol, putting in new long-distance routes in order to make cycling easier.

Two-thirds of the £22.8m in funding for the project has allowed the provision of new infrastructure that takes cyclists away from heavily-trafficked roads and gives them routes with gentler gradients where typography makes cycling more difficult.
