Hammond sides with traditionalists in the transport appraisal war of words

Transport secretary Philip Hammond says the DfT’s New Approach to Appraisal (NATA) is far superior to any other appraisal methodology used across Government. But evidence submitted to the House of Commons transport committee’s inquiry into transport and the economy shows that plenty of transport professionals believe NATA needs major overhaul.
