Westminster calls for action on rogue cyclists

Councillors in Westminster are calling on the police to step up enforcement against cyclists who flout traffic laws.

“Of particular concern is the high incidence of riding on the footway, failing to stop at red lights, pedestrian crossings and cycling the wrong way down one way streets,” Richard Case, assistant city commissioner of transportation, and Alex Coley, a senior transport planner, told the built environment scrutiny policy and scrutiny committee.
