Knowledge exchange isn’t just a one-way street

While UK transport experts have a great deal of expertise that can be profitably disseminated to the rest of the world, independent consultant Tim Pharoah believes we have just as much to learn from the experience of others

“I regard the international trade in knowledge as akin to imports and exports and, by and large, I’ve been a lot more involved in imports rather than exports,” says Tim Pharoah, explaining how his work has focussed on bringing best practice from abroad into the UK transport sector. “You might say that a lot of the work done by UK and US consultants overseas might be able to be classified as work they wouldn’t be able to still get away with at home,”?he quips....
