The first ftr vehicles have been in commercial operation in York since May

In June Swansea council began an extensive redevelopment of the city centre to accommodate the route of the proposed ftr/Metro service

The interior of the ftr has been designed to make the ride as ?tramlike? as possible... although from the outside the vehicle is quite obviously an articulated bus

Apopular gripe of bus operators is that local councils are happy to complain about unreliable services but are all too rarely prepared to put their money where their mouths are by spending money on adequate bus priority measures to ensure that the desired service levels are actually achieved in practice.
