Tory-run Westminster challenge Khan’s plans to pedestrianise Oxford Street

Westminster Council’s new Conservative administration is seeking to take London Mayor Sadiq Khan to court over his plans to pedestrianise a section  of Oxford Street. In last week’s local elections, the Tories took back control of the council, which had been run by Labour since 2022.
