The seismic political change in Wales after last week’s Senedd election could have a bearing on several aspects of transport policy.

The headline change is that Labour is no longer in power, for the first time since devolution in 1999. Plaid Cymru is the largest party in the Senedd and intends to govern alone, despite having a minority of seats. It will need support from at least one other party to pass budgets.
