Traffic forecasts for HE’s A428 dualling worry Cambs councils

Councils in Cambridgeshire have expressed concern about the impact a proposed Highways England dual carriageway project could have on traffic volumes, including within Cambridge. 

Highways England’s A428 Black Cat to Caxton Gibbet improvement comprises building a ten-mile offline dual carriageway between the A421/A1 junction Black Cat roundabout in Bedford and the A428/A1198 junction at Caxton Gibbet in Cambridgeshire. Both junctions would also be upgraded.
