Cars and vans should be zero emission by 2032, says BEIS

The Government should bring forward its deadline for the phasing out of internal combustion engines from 2040 to 2032, says the all-party Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Committee (BEIS). 

Electric vehicles represent opportunities for the UK economy as a technology to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and as a tool to reduce air pollution, says the committee.
