Councils in the Cambridge area are exploring the merits of road user charges but appear to be cooling on plans for a workplace parking levy. Meanwhile, James Palmer, the elected mayor of the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority (CA), seems unlikely to support any charging proposals.

A discussion paper on the demand management work programme was presented to a recent meeting of Greater Cambridge Partnership’s joint assembly.
