A830 Arisaig to Loch Nan Uamh widening, Highland

The Scottish Executive is inviting tenders for widening the A830 between Arisaig and Loch Nan Uamh. The 7.5km single track road will be widened to dual single lane and is the last section of the 27km 'Road to the Isles' route between Fort William and Mallaig to be widened. The scheme includes the demolition and rebuilding of a bridge carrying a side road over the A830 and lowering the road under three other bridges to allow clearance.
