A830 Arisaig to Loch Nan Uamh widening, Highland

Scottish transport minister Tavish Scott has given the go-ahead for widening the A830 between Arisaig and Loch Nan Uamh. The 7km single track road will be widened to dual single lane and is the last section of the 27km 'Road to the Isles' route between Fort William and Mallaig to be widened. Work could start next year and take two years to complete. The Arisaig to Kinsadel widening opened last year (LTT 8 Apr 04).
