Cumbria County Council wants the promoter of a new nuclear power station on the Cumbrian Coast to make a bigger contribution to rail and road improvements in the vicinity.
NuGeneration Ltd proposes to build a 3.6GW nuclear power station at Moorside, immediately north of the Sellafield nuclear fuel reprocessing plant. The company plans to apply for development consent next year and to take its final investment decision in 2018.
