The Office for Low Emission Vehicles has invited cities across the UK to bid to a £35m ultra-low emission cars fund.
Two to four cities will be selected to share the Go Ultra Low City funding, which aims to deliver a ‘step-change’in the uptake of ULEVs, defined as electric, plug-in hybrid or hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.
Measures could include recharging/fuelling infrastructure; public procurement initiatives to set an example; car clubs; and communications.
