Swarco has won the contract to install, operate and maintain ten rapid electric vehicle chargepoints for taxis in northeast England. At least one will be provided in each council in the North East and North of Tyne combined authority areas. The chargers should be operational by August and will be owned by individual councils. The chargers are funded by the Office for Low Emission Vehicles.
