Plans for a new hub airport in Oxfordshire are being examined by the Government’s Airports Commission chaired by Sir Howard Davies.
Bristol-based architect Pleiade Associates’ London Oxford Airport (LOX) plan envisages a four-runway airport near Abingdon, south-west of Oxford, capable of handling 125 million passengers a year. Initially, only two runways would be built, with opening envisaged in 2023.
