Councillors in Tyne and Wear are expected to approve the start of work on a bus Quality Contract scheme for the conurbation next week.

Tyne and Wear Integrated Transport Authority is likely to instruct officers of Nexus, the PTE, to start preparatory work on a draft QC scheme, while also exploring whether “meaningful quality bus partnerships” could deliver the same/greater benefits.
