I am puzzled by the argument that HS2 will demand additional underground links from Euston .

The point of the Old Oak Common interchange with Crossrail 1 is to provide access to the West End, City and Docklands for those with little luggage, as an alternative to the overcrowded Victoria and Northern lines from Euston.
