The ever bleak economic picture means it was another gloomy fortnight for our portfolio of transport stocks, perhaps as a result of National Express’s unsurprisingly downbeat annual results.
But surprisingly, the City seemed to be optimistic by the group’s results as they 8p to close at 233p on February 26 before climbing once again and then settling back to close at 233p once again on March 2, a fall overall of just under 14%.
Interestingly, Stagecoach also had a tough fortnight....
