Scots Bill paves way for ending bridge tolls

The abolition of tolls from the final two tolled bridges in Scotland has moved a step closer with the introduction of a Bill to the Scottish Parliament.

The Abolition of Bridge Tolls (Scotland) Bill fulfils the SNP's pre-election commitment to remove tolls from the Forth and Tay road crossings. The party said it was "unacceptable and unfair" that these road access points in and out of Fife were the only tolled bridges remaining in Scotland.
