Longer and heavier lorries could undermine rail freight, DfT told

Allowing longer, heavier lorries on Britain's roads will significantly damage the rail freight sector, leading to increased carbon dioxide emissions, rail freight operator English, Welsh and Scottish Railway has told the Government.
