Councils brand Eco-town transport plans ‘utopian’ and ‘not serious’

Transport proposals for some of the proposed eco-towns are completely unrealistic and doomed to fail, local authorities have told ministers.

The comments come in responses to the Government’s draft eco-towns Planning Policy Statement and sustainability appraisal published late last year (LTT?14 Nov 08).
