It's naive to put all the blame for road accidents onto drivers

Robert Davis, chair for the Road Danger Reduction Forum, questions the engineering methods being sought by the Campaign for Safer Road Design (Letters LTT?10 Jul).

Mr Davis claims the IAM (Institute of Advanced Motorists) is owned by the AA and that the IAM is an irresponsible motoring organisation. He is wrong on both counts.
