The Scottish Executive is to create a multi-modal public transport users committee to improve passenger representation.
Consultation on the statutory body will take place this autumn and it should be set up by 1 April next year. It will complement a non-statutory rail body to replace the Rail Passengers Committee for Scotland, which is being abolished as part of the reforms to rail passenger representation across Britain.
