NR saves on electrification project

Network Rail claims to have saved £40m on an electrification project in Cardiff by using electric resistant paint and voltage-controlled clearance that averted the need to demolish a bridge. 

NR says the lessons from the project, part of the Great Western electrification programme, could be used on future electrification projects.
