Qualitative research on 20mph speed limits three years after introduction has found that they fostered a greater sense of equity among different road users and have largely been accepted as the norm.

The Journal of Transport and Health has published a paper by Adrian Davis and Susan Tully of the Transport Research Institute, Edinburgh Napier University, based on 25 structured interviews with adults who lived in the Scottish Borders  Council area before, during and after 20mph speed limits...
