Lincolnshire looks at parking enforcement funding

Lincolnshire County Council is looking at how it funds parking enforcement.

A meeting of councillors heard the parking operation had a deficit of £320,000, which was paid for out of reserves.

Councillors heard that parking enforcement is entirely funded by penalties and other revenue rather than out of the council budget. The meeting was told the county would have to made over the next 12 months about how the service was funded and operated.
