Earth embankments are being created to stop groups of travellers from camping on a car park in West Sussex
The plan to build bunds around the perimeter of the Marine Drive car park in West Wittering was approved at a Chichester District Council.
The embankments will cost around £15,000 to create.
The council said while there were height barriers and low fencing already in place at Marine Drive, residents had asked for bunds to be installed instead.
